Wow, tomorrow our son is already a week old!!! I can't believe how quickly these days fly by, every moment since last Sunday 11pm is suspended though, in an immense sense of beatitude...

Becoming a mommy is exceeding my every expectation. I feel grateful for so much! Suddenly,( and I am sure every parent echoes this sentiment) I wonder what was ever more important or made more sense than this little stranger that immediately occupies your whole heart...and every waking hour!

I am simply hopelessly and irrevocably smitten with our little Shaman.

Kickstart and freshly born

Anel and I decided to start a blog on which to post the photos and feedback about our new addition. This allows us to upload news and photos once, and for fans to comment and revisit the site.


Shaman briskly entered this world with a high-pitched scream at 23h00 on 4 October 2009. This shattered several windows at Genesis Clinic, which will never be the same, and now ask all new arrivals to scream in Middle C. He weighed in at 3.02kg, fighting fit and perfect. Met groot longe.
